Exclusiva was on the jury of the sixth edition of ArchiChance, a design competition aimed at young Russian architects
This year the competition was for the concept design for the observatory at the Lakhta Center, the complex which, when completed, will be the tallest building in Europe. A point of reference for tourism, entertainment and the redefinition of the Saint Petersburg skyline of the future.

Located at a height of 370 m above sea level, the observatory is destined to welcome visitors who want to enjoy a breathtaking 360° panorama from the Baltic Sea to the city.

The organizing committee received numerous design proposals, giving the young competitors an opportunity to tackle a top level theme and add an extremely challenging international project to their portfolio.
All the proposals took into account the “mood” Exclusiva has created for the project, in its globality, over the last two years.
After making a careful selection, the jury chose three very interesting projects.
Francesco Belvedere, senior architect of Exclusiva in charge of the development of the design and quality supervision of the execution of the Lakhta Center project, also took part in the selection.
In addition to Francesco Belvedere, the members of the jury included delegates from important architectural firms and institutions.
The award giving ceremony was held at the Architect’s House in Saint Petersburg on 16 March, during which Yulia Gulyak, head architect of the Design Department of the Lakhta Center company, announced the winning projects.

The concept designs submitted can be consulted on page VK of the Lakhta Center.
